Social enterprise and commissioners:
a partnership for the future?
We are delighted to invite you to a free joint event for social enterprise and commissioners on Friday 17th September.
This half day conference will be an opportunity for established social entrepreneurs and commissioners to meet face-to-face and better understand each other’s requirements, priorities and challenges.
There will also be a strong focus on the recent changes in the commissioning landscape and how this affects both social enterprises and those who commission them.
Social Entrepreneurs who have won contracts in the public and private sectors will be sharing their journeys and discussing what barriers they overcame to access the contracts.
Commissioners from a range of sectors (NHS, Local Authority, Youth Services) will talk about their requirements, their experience of dealing with social enterprises and about how to become a fit for purpose supplier.
Leading social enterprises and experts in the field will run break out sessions around hot topics around opportunities and challenges for social enterprise, such as:
- accessing contracts opportunities in health and social care/ youth
services/environmental sector
- understanding the personalisation agenda and how it affects social enterprise
- how to develop successful partnerships to deliver contracts
- understanding the legal technicalities around the tendering process
- overcoming your fear of selling
We hope you can join us on Friday 17th September between 12:30 to 6pm at Coin Street Community Builders. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
